red

A friend of mine asked me to draw this camera that was a favorite of his. I decided to have a bit more fun and paint it instead. It actually looks like a print in this photo.
(Sorry for the quality!)
I started out by drawing it out on a piece of bond paper and then traced it onto a painted red canvas with white transfer paper. Afterwards I painted over the entire thing with white acrylic paint.

I've actually done more than one piece of artwork recently. I'll just go take some photographs and post them in a quickie. Promise.

side-dish of love

Valentine's Day is coming up soon and I am just so excited.

Ever since I was little my mom would always make it a point to give my sisters and I valentines presents. No matter how small.
I'd find valentines in my lunch box with a heart shaped sandwich, my chewing gum stick would have the cutest wrapper. Even my lollipops had sleeves with reminders that I'm loved. And knowing what a good feeling one can get from that I've kept up the tradition.
(I'm not married-I'm only 19 folks!-so I just have to practice on my friends.)

While browsing the net for ideas I came across these! They're by Mr.Printables. They are super easy to make and they make me smile. Try them out for yourselves.
Over here
They (He?) have three different kinds with three colors per design.

Hellooooo.

"I'm just a basket case without you."

Friday art classes are the best. Not only do I get to wear whatever I want but I also get to watch kids smother themselves in paint and not care if their noses are purple.

All I have to show for it is this photo though.

Top: Lauren Conrad
Scarf: Owned since forever.
Shoes: Sandals // Montego Bay Club

Sleepy Saturday mornings. I break out the portable dvd player and watch Person of Interest.
If you look closely the picture appears very incriminating, but I assure you it's not. He still had his pants on. It's the only scene on the show with any kind of nudity and that's the one that I have on camera.

All of these lovely photos were taken by my sister (editing skills and all): elle

'Cause maybe you're loveable.

Sunday afternoons + Reworked Vintage Clothing + Fabulous shoes = some very pretty pictures.

I felt like Taylor Swift.

I just couldn't resist these shoes when I saw them. I mean, I've always wanted to be Barbie.
Now's my chance.

And maybe get a little silly too.

Hello, baby. I've missed you so.

And many eons later
I am back.
Here are some good moments:

Photo shoots with winking dogs.

Hot weather deserves some white v-neck tees and a good arm party.

New shoes

Craft parties with bracelet painting and all the pastries anyone could want.

Trips to amusement parks.

And enjoying coffee outside cafes waiting for the caffeine to kick in.
All the necessary qualities of a good year.
More:
1. I'm growing out my hair.
2. And stocking up on dresses.

It's time to be a girl again.

I love you more than bread.

A quick recap of my weekends as of late:

I do so love getting made up.

5 Cheese Pasta and Lightly Toasted Bread at the Old Spaghetti House.
(I should have licked that bowl clean were it not for having proper manners. Would'a, should'a, could'a.)

Sundaes on a Sunday.
And much window shopping.

Waking up slow.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This morning I went on a quick grocery trip and saw a high schooler buying chocolates before school began. A lady he knew along one of the aisles teased him about beating the crowd and purchasing his sweets early.
It was a nice way to wake up.

Another nice thing? Ed Sheeran's voice.
And Rupert Grint's face.

A magical combination really.

Now, I've been wanting a La Sardina Camera for ages and ages, and just when I thought things couldn't get any better.
They did.

Hey, a girl can dream, right?
